James Albert Lang

 Naples. a James Albert Lang, 74, of Lake Leelanau and Naples, FL, died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at his home. Born April 1, 1929 in South Bend, IN, he was the son of Albert C. and Mildred G. (Robison) Lang. On June 16, 1951 in Mishawaka, IN, James married Jacqueline Spear, who survives.

He was owner and CEO of Industrial Packaging Corp. in South Bend. James piloted his own airplane. He was a member of Gyro International, past president of Chapter 10, Royal Palm Country Club in Naples, FL, charter member of the Summit Club of South Bend, and a member of The Presbyterian Church in Traverse City. He loved flying, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

James is also survived by two daughters, Louann (Gary) Lang Taelman of Traverse City and Kathleen (Douglas) Lang Granger, IN; also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Daniel, James, Ryan, Scott and Kyle Taelman, Meghan, Victoria and David Morr and Erin, Steven and Christina Lang. James was preceded in death by a son, Matthew William Lang: and his parents.

Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2003 at The Presbyterian Church in Traverse City. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. Memorials may be directed to Grand Traverse Area Hospice or The Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Martinson Funeral Home, Suttons Bay.
