Anderson - Janet M. (Kurtz) Hitch, 75, Anderson, died November 12, 2005 at Countryside Manor, Anderson after an extended illness.

She was born October 30, 1930 in South Bend, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana since 1952.

She had worked for Roseland Lumber Company and Paul Maines & Son Plastering.

She was a graduate of South Bend's John Adams High School in 1949.

She was a member of New Hope Christian Church and was a past member of People's Church in South Bend and Bethany Christian Church in Anderson. She was in the youth choir at Peoples Church. She was involved in Campfire Girls and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. Janet was a loyal Anderson Indian supporter for over 20 years.

She is survived by her daughter: Kimberly Imel & special friend Danny Vickery of Muncie. Two Sons: Kevin & wife Wendy Hitch of Ingalls. Andrew & wife Kelli Hitch of Columbus, Ohio. Mother: Virginia (Rose) Kurtz of Anderson. Siblings: Vivian Blankenship, Rosemary Grabowski, Larry Kurtz and Gary Kurtz. Sister-in-law: Linda Wooden of Illinois. Grandchildren: Joshua Baugh, Christopher Baugh, Zachary Baugh, Bryan Imel, Michael Imel, Jammie Imel, Kolten Hitch, Kollin Hitch, Darren Hitch, Courtney Hitch, Brittany Hitch, Kurtis Kimble-Baugh, Emily Baugh, Ashley Hendrickson, Haven Ime, Serenity Imel, Trinity Imel and Adrian Imel. Several Nieces and Nephews. Several beloved pets. Special thanks to Countryside Manor.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years: Wendell D. Hitch. Father: Charles Kurtz. Daughter: Theresa Baugh.

Services will be Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 11:30 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson.

Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.

Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2005 at funeral home, south chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Madison County Humane Society or American Diabetes Association.
