Ramona Elizabeth Greeley

Ramona (Monie) Elizabeth Greeley, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 3, 2014.

Monie was born on July 20, 1931 in South Bend, Ind., the daughter of Carl and Clara (Bornhutter) Schecker.

Monie married the love of her life, Ray, on May 20, 1971. They celebrated 43 years together traveling, going on cruises, raising children and enjoying life to its fullest.

Monie was an avid charter member of American Legion Post 131, Unit 131 Auxiliary in Green Valley, Ariz.

Monie is survived by her husband Ray; three sons, Marc and Lisa Palmer of Charlotte, N.C., Bruce and Carol Palmer of Brisbane, Australia and John and Tanya Palmer of Burbank, Calif. Monie also leaves behind many grand and great-grandchildren.

Monie is preceded in death by her parents and son, Scott Palmer.

Her celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post 131, 249 W. Esperanza Blvd in Green Valley on March 18, 2014 at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Monie's memory may be made to the family and will be decided upon at a later date.
