Phyllis Jean Kasprzak

Phyllis Jean Kasprzak , 65, of West 3rd Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away in her home at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, after a lengthy illness.
Phyllis was a lifelong area resident. She was born on Aug. 4, 1931, in South Bend, to William S. and Ruth (DeGraff) Westwood, both of whom preceded her in death.
On Oct. 20, 1951, in South Bend, Phyllis married Arthur F. Kasprzak , who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Dawn Kasprzak of Mishawaka; a son, Daniel Kasprzak , of Indianapolis, Ind.; and five sisters, Joyce Kirkum, Mary Kopczynski, June Bilancio, Sharon Molnar, and Roseann Petkovich, all of South Bend.
Phyllis was a lifelong member of the Zion United Church of Christ in South Bend. She retired in 1992 from Uniroyal, Inc., in Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, in the Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne St., South Bend. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd St., Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637-3437.
