QUINN HAMPTON

March 8,1985 - Aug. 2, 2007
SOUTH BEND - Quinn Hampton, 22, received his angel wings and his crown of glory after being called Home to be with the Lord on August 2, 2007. He was born to the union of Clara Ross and Greg Hampton on March 8, 1985, in South Bend, IN.

Quinn was a true beacon of life and love for all those whom he met. Quinn was an evidence of unconditional love and acceptance. He never met a stranger that he did not show the love of Christ to, greeting them with a hug and a kiss.

Quinn loved Superman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and at times would only answer to the name Michelangelo. Quinn loved his family and friends, especially his nephews, Shawntrell (whom he called his baby) and Jamirey. Quinn loved to do puzzles, dance, but most of all Quinn loved God his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Quinn began his courtship with Christ under the teaching of Apostle Willie Coats Jr. at New Wings of Faith. Quinn was baptized on December 10, 2001, by his bishop, Bishop Rosco L. Jackson, at Unity In God Through Christ Outreach Ministry, along with his brother, LaMont, and sister, Angel.

Quinn was a graduate of John Adams High School, class of 2004, and received his certificate of graduation from Eggleston Transition School for Special Needs Adults. Quinn is survived by his devoted and loving mother, Clara Ross; his father, Greg Hampton; three sisters, Angel Hendrix of South Bend, Shaylia Hampton and Kaylia Hampton; five brothers, Nicholas Ross, LaMont Hendrix, both of South Bend, Quinton Maurice Kyle, Shondale Pritchett and Deonta Jones, all of Kalamazoo; his maternal grandparents, Ollie and Corine Ross of South Bend; his paternal grandmother, Katie Hampton; his godmother, Delonda Blake of South Bend; as well as Quinn's spiritual parents, Bishop Rosco L. and Pastor Victoria Jackson, both of South Bend; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.

Quinn was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James Walker and Edna C. Wright; paternal grandfather, Garslee Hampton "Pops"; an aunt, Betty Walker; and two cousins, Monique Horton and Tyree Washington.

Celebration services for Quinn will be held at Unity In God Through Christ Outreach Ministry, 644 LaPorte Ave., South Bend, IN, on Saturday, August 11th, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a visitation celebration on Friday, August 10th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier St., South Bend, IN.
