TUPELO -- Michael R. Cordtz, 53, died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, in Tupelo, MS, after an extended illness.
A South Bend, Indiana, native, he was born December 1, 1952, to Ray and Naomi Cordtz. He was a 1971 graduate of John Adams High School and proudly served four years in the U.S. Air Force and four years in the Army during the Vietnam War as a foreign language interpreter. He loved traveling, gardening, his pets and cooking.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Anne Harman of Olathe, KS, and Susan May and husband, Ron of Bloomington, IN; one brother, Danny Rayburn of Tupelo; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
