SOUTH BEND - Dean William Lovings, 65, went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2013.

Dean was born on March 14, 1947 to William and Dorothy Lovings. Both parents preceded him in death. Dean was a 1966 graduate of John Adams High School, where he excelled in basketball and football. Dean gave his life to Christ at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. Dean retired from the West Bend Nursing Home. He loved playing cards and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed watching Notre Dame and the Chicago Bears football games.

Dean will be missed by his loving family: his brother, Craig Lovings; special nieces, Angela Winston, Tanya Lovings and Deanna Lovings; two nephews, James (Mirella) Riley and Craig Lovings Jr., along with a host of other great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Lovings; and his sister, Brenda Lovings (in 1997).
