Frances Ann (Pierson) Roberts

Frances Ann (Pierson) Roberts, 80, of Sebring, Florida passed away on March 25, 2024. She was born April 30, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana to Oliver and Delores (Dolly Mae Searfoss) Pierson.

In addition to raising six children, Frances gave generously of her time all her life, from helping at her children's school, serving as a den mother for Boy Scouts, coaching girls softball, and administering the softball league to volunteering with the Council of Catholic Women doing various charitable activities. As her children grew and left home, she went back to school and proudly earned an associates degree in interior design. She loved her new career harnessing her creativity to help people transform their home environments. Her home has always been a center of activity and a gathering place for extended family and friends. She was an avid card and game player throughout her life and treasured playing in weekly game nights with her husband and friends where her warm smile and exuberant nature brought joy to those around her.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph E. Roberts, Sr.; sons, Joseph E. Jr. (Keida), Anthony (Nanette), Mark (Sandy) and Jeffery (Brandi); daughters, Rose Lowry (Brian) and Jean Penn (John Marek); 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Dolores Shipley, Dorothy Wharton, Rosemary Romero (Vern) and Judy Ambroziak. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oliver Pierson and Delores Poznanski; stepfather Casimere Poznanski; and one grandchild.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Catherine Catholic Church, in Sebring, Florida on Saturday April 20 at 1:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life. All are welcome.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home, Sebring, FL
