Evelyn A. Kalman, 74, of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, March 9, at Hospice House in South Bend.

Mrs. Kalman was born on Nov. 2, 1924, in South Bend, to Charles and Agnes (Abraham) Glueckert.

On July 10, 1948, she married Peter Kalman, who preceded her in death on October 22, 1977.

She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Sabo of South Bend; a grandson, Peter Sabo; a sister, Marilyn Hillring of South Bend; and by a brother, Charles Glueckert of Elkhart, Ind.

Mrs. Kalman retired in 1994 after 15 years with Cressy & Everett.

She was a member of the Notre Dame Club, the University Club at Notre Dame and the Moose Lodge. She was an avid Notre Dame fan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today in St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend, with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery.
