SOUTH BEND - Services for Kenneth Gene Dillon , 63, of South Scott Street, who died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital after an illness, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or American Kidney Foundation.
Mr. Dillon retired in 1978 from the Indiana State Police and was a security officer at Memorial Hospital until 1992. He was born May 7, 1932, in South Bend.
On Sept. 6, 1952, in Mishawaka, he married Joan Marie Allen. She survives with three daughters, Christine Dillon of Mishawaka, Janine Emerson of Springfield, Va., and Suzanne Dillon of South Bend; three sons, David of Granger, Paul of South Bend, and Mark of Rochester, Mich.; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce Schell and Rebecca Ferm, both of South Bend, and Carol June Stum of Richardson, Texas; and four brothers, Robert of LaPorte, Ronald of Bakersfield, Calif., Richard of Mishawaka, and Ralph of Danville, Calif. She was a member of the church and St. Michael's Society.
