SOUTH BEND – Rollin C. Mais, 63, of 3114 E. Jefferson Blvd., died at 6 p.m. Friday in Memorial Hospital.

He owned and operated Michiana Design Co. He was born Feb. 1, 1927, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On May 5, 1951, in South Bend, he married Violet M. Pane. She survives with twin daughters, Laura Mais-Fahey and Lorraine Mais-Fisher, both of South Bend; a son, Dr. Dale Eugene Mais of Roachdale, Ind.; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Nancy Marshall of Augusta, Mich. and Gladys VanDeWalle of South Bend.

Mr. Mais was a member of St. Joseph Lodge 45 F & AM, Disabled American Veterans, Orak Temple of Michigan City and Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollis Orvis Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County Cancer Society.
