PATRICIA ANN (WALLACE) MITCHELL

SOUTH BEND - Patricia Ann Mitchell, age 59, beloved mother, grandmother and sister who resided on Glenveiw Drive, South Bend, Indiana passed away at her residence on Monday, November 21, 2011. Patricia was born to Mark and Willia Mae (McCowan) Wallace on November 23, 1951 in South Bend.

She graduated in 1970 from John Adams High School. She worked 10 years for Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, then seven years as a Restorative Aid at Fountain View Nursing Facility. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Niles, Michigan. She especially loved her grandchildren, organizing gatherings and being a smart shopper (Sam's Club).

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Mark & Willia Mae Wallace; a brother, Jerry Jenkins; and a sister, Gwendolyn Lewis.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Theresa (Joshua) Jephetar; four sons, James Mitchell, Jr., Michael Mitchell, Sr., DeCarlos (Rachel) Mitchell and Richard Mitchell; 16 grandchildren, DelShawn, Michael, Jr., Dominic, Me'Kel, Davin, Jamaya, Brandon, David, Darion, Marcus, Malique, Tarieja, Deja, Jasaria, Jeremiah and Sophia; three sisters, Debra Jenkins and Lela Wallace all of South Bend, Maxine Daniels of Minneapolis, MN; two brothers, Johnny Jenkins, Jr., of South Bend and Sherman (Cynthia) Wallace of Cary, NC; a special friend, Steve Harper; her special brother & sisters-in-law, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Power in Praise Church for Patricia Ann Mitchell with burial following at Highland Cemetery. Viewing will take place at the church (610 North Logan, Mishawaka, IN) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford's Mortuary where messages of condolences may e-mailed to Alfordsmortuary@att.net c/o: Mitchell family.
