VICTOR G. ROBINSON

Victor Gatlin Robinson was born on February 11, 1951 in Gary, IN to Gloria D. Gatlin. He attended Roosevelt High School and later moved to South Bend, IN. Victor graduated from John Adams High School in 1969.

He was united in marriage to Janet White in 1971. To this union four children were born; Tonya, Tiara, Adrian and Brian Robinson. Victor later returned to Gary, IN to further his education at Ivy Tech College. He was subsequently united in holy matrimony to Elise Anderson for 33 years until his untimely death.

Victor was a Driver at LTV Steel and he was an over the road Truck Driver. He retired from the Calumet Bus Company due to his illness.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry T. and Jessie Gatlin, Sr.; one grandchild, Victor Robinson.

Victor leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Elise Robinson, mother, Gloria D. Gatlin, his brothers, Lee B. (Paula) Ivey, Jr., and Dane Parks, four children, Tonya, Tiara, Andrea and Brian Robinson; one step son, Terrell (Denise) McCuiston, Sr. of Rex Georgia; twenty-five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren all of South Bend, IN; uncle, Harry T. Gatlin, Jr. of South Bend, IN; aunts, Curly Gatlin Adams, Harriett G. Mackel of Gary, IN, James Etta (Henry) Meadows; mother in law, Irma L. Williams; sister in law, Jamesetta Holder and Darlene G. Richardson; two brothers in law, Robert (Barbara) Johnson and Robert Marshall; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be October 2, 2015 from 9 to 11 a.m. with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 2307 Rhode Island Street, Gary, IN 46407 with Elder Terrell J. McCuiston, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at the Gary Oak Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Gary, IN. Victor will be deeply missed by his loving family and precious friends. God Grant Him Eternal Peace.
