MELVIN E. WARES

MELVIN EUGENE WARES Indianapolis, IN/Gary, IN Age 55 passed away in Indianapolis, IN on May 22, 2007. He attended elementary and middle school in Gary, IN, was a 1969 graduate of John Adams High School in South Bend, IN and received his BS and MS from Indiana University. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and retired from the Gary Community School Corp after many years of teaching at MLK Academy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Milton A. Wares, and his wife, Lynetta Wares.

Survivors: daughter, Cyneka G. (Frank) Wares-Hooks; son, Darnell (LaKita) Williams; mother, Maxine C. Jackson; sisters, Jacqueline Jones-Ermlick, Dr. Lydia J. Wares, Florence N. (Forrest) Wares-Akers, and Beatrice A. (Arthur) Bey-Prickett; seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Marvin L. Boatright Funeral Service, 2163 N. Illinois St., Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 30 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Contact information: 317-931-1956 or fax 317-931-1955
