Jack Leon Warford

Jack Leon Warford passed away on April 12, 2023 in Murrieta, Riverside County, California. He was born on 11 June 1948 at the Grim Smith Hospital in Kirksville, Adair County, Missouri. Also on the date of his birth was born a twin sister Jill Lea Warford. His parents were Marion Leon Warford and Stella May Kilbride of Hurdland, Knox County, Missouri. He and his sister and parents moved to South Bend, Indiana in 1948.

Jack grew up in the River Park Neighborhood, where he attended John F. Nuner Grade School and Jr. High, and John Adams High School.

Jack enlisted into the U. S. Navy, while a teenager and served for 4 years. After his naval service was completed, he joined the United States Marine Corps. On the 19 of November 1973 in San Diego City, California he married Eileen F. Ferranto.

He is survived by his wife Eileen, and two daughters Tracy and Debbie and 5 grandchildren. One granddaughter passed away some years ago. Jack was a retired Major in the Marines, a minister and a veteran of the Vietnam War. His surviving siblings are Jill Deyerling (Chris) of South Bend, Velva Brackett of Mishawaka, Judy Anderson of Minnesota, and twin brothers Pat and Mike of South Bend. The Warford family will be conducting a private family memorial service at a later date.
