SOUTH BEND - Mr. Joseph Lee Ward, 51, was born to the union of Will and Idene (Rhodes) Ward in Steele, Missouri, on November 24, 1955. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, and entered into eternal life. Joseph graduated from Adam's High School and served in the United States Air Force. He was last employed by the United States government. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Idene Ward, and a nephew, Billie Paxton. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Walkeisha Laniece Ward of South Bend; 11 sisters, Willa Bell of New York, Earnestine (Jerry) Watson of Elkhart and Margatine Page of Michigan City, Indiana, Gracie Bradley of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ethel (Robert) Garrett of Marian, Arkansas, Wanda Ward of Aurora, Illinois, Georgise Woodward, Marie (Michael) Meadows, Carolyn Ward, Ella Deniece Ward and Sarah L. Ward, all of South Bend; four brothers, Roscoe Ward of Gary, Indiana, Donald Ward of Texas, Harvey Ward and Andre Ward; two brothers-in-law, Larry Bell and Bobby Woodward, all of South Bend; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial services for Mr. Joseph Lee Ward will be held at 11:00 a.m. today, November 8, 2007, at Alford's Mortuary, with social gathering from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.
