Chris D. Johnson, 42, of South 28th Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away following an illness at 2:20 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, in his home. His body will be donated to the Department of Anatomy at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN.

He was born on Oct 14, 1954 in LaPorte, IN , and had lived in the South Bend area for 37 years. coming from LaPorte Mr. Johnson was sell employed as a cookie broker He was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church. and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan

On July 25, 1981, in South Bend, he married Corrine Johnson, who survives He is also survived by two daughters. Sarah and Lauren Johnson at home a son. Shawn Johnson at home his parents. Harry and Helen Johnson of South Bend; a grandmother, Rose Newton of South Bend. and by a sister. Cindy Philipson of South Bend. 

Friends are invited to gather from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Kaniewski Funeral Home. 3545 N Bendix Drive, South Bend A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Faith United Methodist Church. 802 F Ewing Street, South Bend Pastor Don Shanks and Christopher B Johnson will be officiating Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of SI Joseph County.
