SOUTH BEND - Larry V. Korlowicz, 72, residing in South Bend, IN, passed away at 4:54 AM on Friday, May 25, 2012, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN. He owned and operated Russell's Supermarket until 1985, then managed at the County Market. From 1991-2006, Larry worked at the South Bend School Corporation. He was born December 1, 1939, in South Bend, IN, to the late Vincent and Clara (Dunbar) Korlowicz, and remained a lifelong resident.
On February 7, 1959, in South Bend, IN, he married Peggy (Deranek) Korlowicz, who survives. Along with his loving wife, Peggy Korlowicz, Larry is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Bart) Williams of South Bend; one son, Larry Korlowicz of South Bend; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol (Hans) Ditsch of South Bend; and his brother, Edward (Susie) Korlowicz of Anderson. His son, David A. Korlowicz, on August 4, 2010, and one grandson, Larry Vincent Korlowicz, in 1985 preceded him in death. Larry served six years in the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed fishing and watching football and baseball. Larry was an avid Green Bay Packers, Notre Dame and Cubs fan.
