SOUTH BEND - Barbara “Barb” Brown, 77, of Shellbark Avenue, South Bend, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, May 31st, 2016.
She was born on December 20th, 1938, in South Bend, to George and Pearl (Browning) Kruggel, who both preceded her in death along with her brother, George. On November 14th, 1959, in South Bend, she married Robert E. Brown. He died September 30th, 2001. Barb was a Server at Pat's Pub in Mishawaka for 20 years, retiring in 1999. She loved flowers, Poker, Mississippi Stud, and going to Las Vegas at every opportunity.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila (David) Annable of South Bend and Cheryl (Rick) Heim of Buchanan, Michigan. Also surviving are one grandson, Justin (Michelle) Heim; and two great-granddaughters, Morgan Heim and Addison Heim. One Brother, Bob (Larry) Kruggel-Sanders of St. Joseph, Michigan, and a sister-in-law, Lore Kruggel of Peoria, Arizona, also survive.
There will be a Celebration of Barb's Life on Saturday, June 11th, 2016, at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana, at 11:00 am. Friends will be free to share their memories of Barb with others during the gathering. The family will be receiving guests one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
