SOUTH BEND - Sidney Moore, Jr., 82, of South Bend, passed away Monday, February 15th, in his residence with his loving wife by his side.

Sid was born in South Bend, IN, on July 10, 1933, to the late Sidney and Margaret (Jeffers) Moore, Sr. He was lifetime resident of the Michiana area owning his own business, Astar, Inc., a plastic injection molding company since 1980.

On December 13, 1974, in Niles, MI, he married Dorothy D. Kozlowski, who survives.

He is also survived by his children, Cynthia K. Granlee, Connie M. (Tom) Porter and Sidney Moore, III, all of Bakersfield, CA; a step-son, Rick A. Modlin of Niles, MI; eighteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Sid was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Williams, a son, Curtis Moore, and a sister, June Schaper.

Sid proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post 284, Firefighters Local 362, both of South Bend, and The Masonic Lodge 45 F&AM, the Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend.

Friends may call Friday, February 19th, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Hanley & Sons Funeral Home “Southwest Chapel,” located at West Ireland/State Road 23, South Bend. The Masonic Lodge 45 will have services at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 20th, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Philip E. Ludwick officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Children Chicago Unit, 2211 North Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL 60707-3392.
