X-ray nurse; active in church choir, ARC of Cape
CHATHAM - Kathryn "Kit" (Carrow) Zeller died Sunday at the M. McCarthy Hospice House after a long illness with cancer.

She was the wife of Wayne D. Zeller, who died in 1991.
Mrs. Zeller was born and raised in Linden, Wis. She graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, Ind., and attended St. Mary's College in South Bend. She completed nursing studies at South Bend Memorial Hospital, where she worked as an X-ray nurse.

She lived in several parts of the country, including Boston and Pittsburgh. She was a longtime summer resident of Chatham, moving there full-time when her husband retired. Mrs. Zeller was active in the church choir, Cancel
Bell Choir, and the Ministry for Justice and Peace at First Congregational Church in Chatham.

She was a supporter of ARC of Cape Cod, served on the board of the Department of Mental Retardation and was a longtime board member and supporter of Nauset Inc.

Surviving are a daughter, Jan C. Zeller of Colorado; a son, Michael W. Zeller of Orleans; a sister, Sandra Smith of Wisconsin; a grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church of Chatham, with a reception following.
