MISHAWAKA, Ind. — Graveside services and interment with military honors for Robert Lynn Blackford, 86, of Cookeville, will be held tomorrow at noon (EST), Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka, Ind.
Mr. Blackford passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, in NHC of Cookeville.
He was born Nov. 6, 1927, in South Bend, Ind., to the late Edgar Lynn and Hazel Kent Blackford.
Mr. Blackford received his B.S. degree from Tri-State University and was a retired tax auditor with the State of Indiana.
He was a U. S. army veteran of World War II.
His family includes his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Sandy Blackford of Mishawaka, Ind., and Scott and Karen Blackford of Wilder, Tenn.; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Kim Lee of South Bend, Ind.; and 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Blackford was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Gee and Jenny Blackford; and his brothers Phil Blackford and John Blackford.
