Calvin L. Joris

Calvin L. Joris, 803 Woodcliff Dr., died early this morning in Hines, Ill. Veterans’ Hospital after nearly six years’ illness. He was in the hospital on several occasions and was there continuously the last three months.
He was born in South Bend April 30, 1927, and was married in 1948 to the former Ethel Mae Schrader. She is secretary to Judge W. Lynn Parkinson, of Lafayette, Ind., United States district judge for Northern Indiana. She survives.
He leaves also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.P. Joris, of South Bend, and a brother, William of South Bend. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Marine Corps. He was graduated from John Adams High School, was employed by the Sibley Machine & Foundry Co. and was a member of First Brethren Church. The body will be brought to the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home. Rev. J. D. Hamel, pastor of First Brethren Church, of which he was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
Friends may call in the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be John Weil, Jack D. Jaqua, James Bowlin, Edward Hosinski, Beecher Anderson and James Borror.
