Joann Lucille Koepp
Joann Lucille Koepp, 93 years old, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Holy Cross (formerly Sanctuary at Holy Cross) in South Bend, IN. She was born on August 2, 1928 in Michigan City, IN, to the late Joseph E. and Caroline A. (Humelsheim) Siney.
Joann was a lifelong resident of Michiana. She was an active parishioner at St. Pius X Catholic Church. She loved knitting and sewing, reading, Broadway musicals, crossword puzzles, and traveling – especially to Hawaii. She was a very caring and compassionate person. She cared and watched over many children. She also would knit hats and mittens for school children. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and cherished her memories of their time together at Grand Beach, MI.
Joann is survived by her daughter, Tamara S. (Charles) Easter of Fort Wayne, IN; sons, Timothy P. (Linda) Koepp of Plymouth, IN, and Thomas J. (Carol) Koepp of Granger, IN; six grandchildren, Timothy P. Koepp, Jr., Melissa J. (Timmie) Cornell, Thomas J. (Amy) Koepp, Jr., Hannah (Brandon) Fish, and Emma (Dan) Herber; ten great-grandchildren, Shelbie, Timothy III, Owen, Quinn, Bennet, Caleb, Camilla, Caden, Gwendolyn, and Katelyn; and four great-great-grandchildren, Blaine, Haigen, Clinton, and Ellerie. Joann is also survived by her brother, Michael L. (Mary Jo) Siney of Mishawaka. Along with her parents, Joann is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jennifer Bishop; and her sister, Mary K. Hardesty.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00-11:00am at the church prior to Mass. Graveside services and burial will take place that Tuesday at 2:45pm at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel is assisting family with arrangements.
