MISHAWAKA - Sandra L. Sparks, 57, of West 11th Street, died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Sparks was co-owner of Sparky's Lounge and Restaurant for the past nine years.
She was born Feb. 15, 1937, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On June 29, 1957, in South Bend, as Sandra L. Horvath, she married Donald Sparks. He survives, with two daughters, Tamara Ramey and Tracey Smith, both of Mishawaka; a son, Todd of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and a brother, Emil A. Horvath Jr. of Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
