Charles Frederick LaPierre

SOUTH BEND - Charles Frederick LaPierre passed away May 4, 2015 at his home at Heritage Lake due to a short illness. He was born September 26, 1936 in South Bend, IN to Gertrude and Louis LaPierre who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Charmayne (Cheri) Bryan Linton LaPierre and his brother, Louis LaPierre III (Mary). He was father of and survived by his son, Chas LaPierre (Amy) of Coatesville, IN. He was father to and survived by Mark Linton (Karen) of Troy, MI, Laura Linton of Gaithersburg, MD, and Brian Linton (Lori) of Fishers, IN. He is survived by six grandchildren, Bryan, Jennifer, Stephanie, and Megan Linton, Audrey Healey, and Chloe LaPierre.
Chuck spent his career in the industrial coatings and insulated copper wire industry as an outside salesman and in management. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard, and was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Elkhart, the Elcona Country Club of Elkhart, and the Elks Country Club of Elkhart. He enjoyed his summers at his cottage on Birch Lake in Michigan for 25 years until he moved to Heritage Lake in Coatesville, IN where he resided for the past 10 years.
Visitation will be held at Cornerstone Christian Church, 8930 N. State Road 267 in Brownsburg on Friday, May 8 from 10-11:30. A memorial service will follow immediately after visitation. Contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice in Danville, IN.
