Bradley K. Dix Nov. 8, 1952 - May 16, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Bradley K. Dix, longtime resident of the South Bend, Indiana area passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 8, 1952. Preceding him in death were his parents, Vernon Keith and Donna Jane (Fowler) Dix. Brad is survived by his wife, Pamela K. (Shock) Dix of Osceola, Indiana; son, Todd Schroeder and wife, Kathy of Aurora, IL; and daughter, Tanya Heyde of Osceola, Indiana. A great joy to Brad were his four grandchildren, Tyler Binder, Christian Binder, Sophia Schroeder and Jacob Bradley Schroeder. He was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild. Brad shared a special bond with his brother and best friend, D. Scott (Mary) Dix of Mishawaka, Indiana. He also greatly enjoyed his many other relatives and especially loved teasing his nieces and nephews (his "clowns"). Besides being an avid reader, Brad was a collector, a genealogist who loved tracing family roots and especially a connoisseur of all things sweet. While being employed for over 40 years with the United States Postal Service in South Bend, Indiana, Brad made many friends there. He took great pleasure working with his good friends and co-workers and rarely missed a day of work in all that time. Brad's love of his wife, children, grandchildren and family was foremost in his life. He was a good father and proud of his children and grandchildren. He was a loving, caring, honest, hard-working person with a great sense of humor and will be missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm with funeral services immediately following at Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, Indiana 46635.
