SOUTH BEND –Randall Lee Grant, 68, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 2:31 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, in his home. He was born October 24, 1941, in Mishawaka, IN, to Donald and Helen (Budzin) Grant.
On June 25, 1966, in South Bend, he married Miki (Davey) Grant, who survives. Mr. Grant is also survived by daughter, Kim (Thomas D.D.S.) Magnuson of Elkhart, IN; son, Michael (Dana) Grant of Mishawaka, IN; five grandchildren, Kyle, Lexa and Grant Magnuson, and Madison and Nathan Grant; sister Kathy (David) Bock of West Chester, OH; and brother, Donald (Betty) Grant of Gwynned Valley, PA.
Mr. Grant was a 1960 graduate of John Adams High School. He served 12 years in the Indiana National Guard. He retired from Timken Corporation as a bearing technician. He also worked in the metallurgical labs for Torrington Corporation. He loved Studebaker’s and was formerly active in the Studebaker Drivers Club.
Private services will take place. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Contributions in memory of Randall Lee Grant may be made to Monroe Primary Center, 312 Donmoyer Avenue, South Bend, IN 46614; or St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, 5215 Holy Cross Parkway, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
