HILBORN – Rev. J. D. Hamel, pastor of the First Brethren Church, will conduct services at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Orvis Funeral Home for Miss Trudy Kay Hilborn, 18, who was killed Sunday when she touched a water pipe connected to an electric motor as she stood in Diamond Lake, Cassopolis, Mich.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman A. Hilborn who recently moved to Rt. 3, Diamond Lake from 3209 Bentley Lane, South Bend.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sherwood and Terry Johnson, Bruce and Dennie Foldesi, Allen Rapp and Fred Scott.

Trudie Hilborn had the very unfortunate distinction of being the first in our class to pass after graduation. She died in August of 1959 after graduation in June of 1959. I remember her with sadness,
