Dr. Frederick Donald Kuemmerle Obituary
Dr. Frederick D. Kuemmerle, 84, of Wenham, passed away on Friday, November 21st after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Elkhart, IN on April 16th, 1941, to the late Donald and Pauline (Carrington) Kuemmerle. He attended Hanover College, IN and went on to graduate from medical school at the University of Cincinnati, OH. After two years in the US Air Force, including a tour of duty in Vietnam, he completed his Anesthesia residency at the University of Washington. For over forty years, he practiced medicine at Beverly Hospital, impacting the lives of countless patients.
Dr. Kuemmerle is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, LuBeth (Weller) Kuemmerle and three beloved daughters, Amy Mazeran and her husband Jacques; Jill Rabii and her husband Christopher; and Patti Kuemmerle. He was also the proud grandfather of six grandchildren: Maxime, Laszlo, and Gabrielle Mazeran and Owen, Charlie, and Tyler Rabii. In addition, he leaves behind two nieces, Judy (Richmond) Spates and her late husband Lewis; Carol (Richmond) Luther and her husband Jim; and a nephew, Steven Richmond and his wife Anne.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Karma Richmond and his brother-in-law Edward.
Dr. Kuemmerle’s memorial service will be held at First Congregational Church of Hamilton, 630 Bay Road (Route 1A) Hamilton, on Wednesday November 26th, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Tuesday November 25th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com .

RIP fellow Eagle. I did not know Fred, but I do remember passing him in the hallowed halls of John Adams High School. He was in my brother John's Class of '59. I hope that his family grieves well, and celebrates Fred's life with laughter as well as tears. He must have been one of the good guys, and served his fellow man well through his career. I've met several anesthesiologists in my years, and they've all been great people. Another Eagle has flown into the skies. G
