Services for Charmain L. Walton, 47, of 433 N. Harrison St., who died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in her home, will be at  10 a.m. Thursday at Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.

Mrs. Walton was a former secretary for Calpro Fence Co., where she worked for 15 years, and was employed for a year by Old Fort Building Supply.

She was born April 25, 1941, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On Aug. 16, 1960, in South Bend, she married Charles M. Walton, who survives.

Also surviving, are three daughters, Paula Coleman and Tomala Waddell, both of South Bend, and Brenda Walton of Cooperville, Mich; three foster daughters, Christine, Elizabeth and Charlotte Marts, all of Chicago, two foster sons, Daniel Marts of South Bend and Jimmy Marts of Chicago; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Kellogg and Juliann Montgomery, both of Goodyear, Ariz; a brother, John Landuit Jr. of Livonia, Mich; and her mother, Emily Landuit of Goodyear.
