Beatrice M. Cates

Beatrice Cates, 61, of Red Pine Drive, Granger, Ind., passed away after an illness at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, in her residence. Mrs. Cates was born in Mishawaka, Ind., on December 4, 1939, and was a lifelong area resident. She was a homemaker and a member of the International Church of Christ.
On May 23, 1959, in South Bend, Ind., Beatrice Pfaller married Terry Cates, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Vickie Cates of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Tom (Lisa) Cates of Fishers, Ind.; two grandchildren, Tyler and Haleigh Cates of Fishers; a sister, Shirley Wygant of South Bend; a brother, Dick Pfaller of South Bend; and by her parents, Carl and Amy Pfaller of Punta Gorda, Fla.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Henry Kriete officiating. Friends may call in the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to the Cancer Society of St. Joseph County, 711 E. Colfax Street, South Bend, IN 46617; or to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
