Gloria Jean Quimby

Mrs. Gloria J. Quimby, 40, of 1118 Roberts St., died at 7 a.m. today in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after an extended illness. She was the former credit manager of Robertson’s department store.
She was born on April 4, 1941, in South Bend. On Aug. 22, 1959, as Gloria J. Rhoades, she married John Quimby. He survives with a daughter, Lynne of South Bend; a son Kenneth of Mishawaka; a sister, Mrs. Anne Burns of Sheridan, Ind.; two brothers, Charles Rhoades of Louisville, Ky.; and Michael Rhoades of South Bend; and her father, Shirley Rhoades of South Bend.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood, with Rev. David Harrold, pastor of Faith United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
