William Keith Rupert
Oct. 4, 1940 – April 18, 2003
William K.“Bill”Rupert, 62, passed away Friday, April 18, 2003, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Bill was born, raised and was a life long resident of South Bend, except for his service in the Navy where he was assigned to the USS Johnston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia and most recently his sister, Patsy Rupert Garlough, Aug.15, 2003.
He is survived by his children, Sharon, Debra, Annette, Virginia, and William Jr., as well as seven grandchildren. He is further survived by his sisters, Betty Moss of Santa Ana, Calif., and Beverly Coverdale of Mequon, Wis., four nieces and three nephews.
Bill was an enthusiastic fisherman, hunter, and grew great tomatoes. He will be in state Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m.April 23, 2003, at Hickey Funeral Home, 57131 Cleveland Road, and Thursday, April 24th 10 a.m.to 1 p.m.Funeral services will be held at Hickey Funeral Home April 24, 2003 at 1 p.m.
Burial will be at St.Joseph Valley Memorial Park following services.

Rest in Peace Bill!..I did not know Bill personally, but remember seeing him roaming the hallowed halls of John Adams. He was in my brother John's Class of '59. Blessings to Bill's family and friends.
If someone reads this and happens to know if back in the 1940's the Rupert Family lived on Woodward Avenue in South Bend, I would like to know. The first few years of my life were lived next door to a Rupert Family.
