Feb. 6, 1942 – June 12, 1998

Scott Charles Searight, 56, beloved husband of Carol Ann, died on Saturday, June 13, in Southern California aboard the m/v “Pioneer” after a long and courageous battle against cancer.

Scott was the son of Norton Burleson Searight and is survived by his loving mother, Helen Charles Searight of South Bend; two sisters, Nancy Anton of Chesterton, Ind. and Susan Searight of South Bend, Ind. ; four children and two step-children, Scott P. Searight of Denver, Colo. , Deborah S. McDonald of Cleveland, Ohio, Julie M. Watson of Granger, Ind., Marcia L. Allred of Hiram, Ga., N. Scott Snyder of Chico Hills, Calif. and K. Matthew Snyder of Orange, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Ali, Kurt, Gage, Connor, Helen, Amelia, Jake and Emily; and by two step-grandchildren, Courtney and Randall.

Founder, CEO and Chairman of the Board of MCS Financial, Dallas, Texas, a highly respected software development company, Scott was born in Pittsburgh, raised in Indiana and served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1964.

Friends and family gathered for a memorial service which was held aboard his yacht and on Catalina Island in Southern California at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.
