George John Noeth Jr.

Mar. 10, 1943 - Feb. 2, 2008

SOUTH BEND - George John Noeth Jr., 64, Old Fruit Hill Road, Hopkinsville, Ky. died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at his home following a long illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Thomas officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today, in Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville with a prayer service and eulogy at 6:30 p.m. The body will be cremated.

A native of South Bend, IN, he was born March 10, 1943, the son of the late George John Noeth Sr. and Bernice Gerard Noeth.

He was a retired chemistry teacher who had taught at White Station High School in Memphis, Tenn.

He was a volunteer at St. Luke Free Clinic and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Coleman Noeth, editor of the Kentucky New Era; a son, Brian Noeth, Fletcher, Mo.; two daughters, Gretchen Noeth, Barnhart, Mo., Anna Coleman-Noeth, Christian County; a brother, Paul Noeth, Granger, IN; and one granddaughter.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke Free Clinic or to the American Diabetes Association.
