SOUTH BEND - Jerrold Nelson Walker, 70, passed away at 4:55 PM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Jerrold retired from Lockjoint Tube in South Bend and previously worked for Allied Barton/Unity Security at AM General. He was born on February 6, 1943 in South Bend, IN to the late Ralph and Virginia (Hatfield) Walker. Jerrold graduated from John Adams High School, South Bend. He served in the United States Air Force. Jerrold is survived by his sister, Barbara (Deb) Walker of South Bend; his brother, James (Yvonne) Walker of Granger; and two nieces, Lindsey and Lauren. Jerrold was a member of Deer Run Church of Christ. He had a big heart and would help anyone. He enjoyed Texas Holdem Poker, working with computers and working on cars. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, January 17, 2014 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
