Larry N Baker

Larry N. Baker was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, 87, of Batavia, IL, who passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, January 15, 2026.
 

He was born April 2nd, 1938, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Cecil and Catherine (McCollough) Baker.

On July 23, 1960, in South Bend, IN, he married his first wife, the late Celia “Sue” (Riddle) Baker, who passed away on August 5th, 2000, after 40 years of marriage. On February 7, 2003, in Geneva, IL, he married his second wife Carol (Brue) Baker.

Larry grew up in South Bend’s River Park area and graduated from John Adams High School. Larry was a hydraulic engineer who worked at T & L Manufacturing in Aurora, IL, where he retired after 45 years in 2017. Larry loved to build things and was quite the handyman and loved to draw and paint.
 

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol.  
 

Larry is survived by his daughter, Jeane (the late Steve) Beck, son Larry Mike (Deena) Baker, stepdaughter Christy (Sara) Beck; grandson Michael (Kerri) West, granddaughters Codi (Eric) Aucoin, Nicole Baker, Natalie Baker, great-granddaughter, Cecelia “Ce ce” West, great-grandson Damien West, great-grandsons Zen and Lux Aucoin, and sister Janette (Ted) Stanton and brother Leroy (Sharon) Baker brother the late Dale (Pat) Baker.
