William Phillip Givens

William Phillip Givens Jr., 81, passed away on December 21, 2019, at Center for Hospice Care in South Bend. William was born in Porter, IN, on April 12, 1938, to the late William Sr. and Madelyn (Rardon) Givens.
William is survived by his wife, Anita; daughters Betsy (David) Everman and Molly (Mike) DeWolf, and a son, Scott Givens; sisters, Janice (John) Powers and Jeanne (Charles) Jerden; and brother, Robert (Natalie) Givens; two grand-daughters, Holly and Nicole Everman; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
William graduated from Adams High School in 1956. He went on to IU where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1960. William was in the Army Reserve. He was also very intellectual and liked doing things that made him think, especially working Sudoku puzzles with his brother-in-law, John.
