Robert A. Good July 20, 1937 - Nov. 16, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Robert A. Good, 77, of South Bend died Sunday, November 16, 2014 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.
He was born July 20, 1937 in Detroit, MI to the late Mathilda (Verhagen) and David C. Good. On April 6, 1959 in Mississippi he married the former Carole Johanns who survives.
He is also survived by his children, Julie Schmidt (James) of South Bend, Richard Good (Laura) of Mishawaka, and Robert Good (Judy) of Grovertown, IN; five grandchildren, Jimmy Schmidt (Christina), Robert H. Good (Lisa), Jessica Ferguson (Jeff), Nicole Lennon (Frank) and Michelle Domonkos (Kevin); three great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Julian and Nate; and his siblings, Dianne McInery (John) of Myrtle Beach, SC and David P. Good (Kathleen) of Byran, OH.
Robert retired from Herman & Goetz Electric Co. after 12 years employment. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 153 Electrical Workers. He was a member of the Northern Indiana Stamp Club and loved to fish, explore with his metal detector and travel with his wife Carole. Some of his favorite times were when he was riding his trike Goldwing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in Saint Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Drive where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the Mass.
Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Robert served with honor in the United States Navy and Military Honors will be rendered following the Mass. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E.
