Ron Hoover, 74, of Mishawaka, IN passed away at 9:45 AM Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. He was a supervisor at Cerelian Products, South Bend for 30 years and retired from Mishawaka Utilities where he was a meter reader for ten years. Ron was born on May 26, 1937 in South Bend, IN to Donald L. and Virginia N. (Schultz) Hoover and remained a lifelong resident. On January 3, 1959 in South Bend, he married Barbara A. (Boudreau) Hoover, who survives.

Along with his loving wife, Barbara he is survived by his daughter, Kelly M. (Ted) Keckler of South Bend; five grandchildren, Korry M. (Jessica M. Hallam) Baloun and their children Tyler and Gemma, Kasandra M. (David Frazier) Baloun and their daughter Karmen "Pooper", Kayla M. Baloun, Karly M. (Ryan Hein) Baloun and Kayson "Bo" L. Baloun; and his sister, Lorraine (Bill) Davis of South Bend. Also surviving are three foster daughters, Tammy (Al) Bowman and their children Aaron, Molinda and O. Marie; Judy Hulben and her children, Kristin and Glynn; and Cheri McCormick; and several nieces and nephews.

Ron attended Southside General Baptist Church in Mishawaka for many years. He was also a member of Road Angels Car Club in the 1950's and of the Rodeleers Car Club. Ron was a graduate of John Adams High School.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 22, 2011 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend. Rev. Jeff Little, pastor of Southside General Baptist Church, Mishawaka will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
