John was employed as a carpenter for many years with Taylor Construction, and then with the Fisher Development Group, where he oversaw the building of "Gap" stores across the United States. He was also a longtime member of the Carpenter's Union. John's strong work ethic and dry sense of humor will be remembered by those who knew him. He also was member of Queen of Peace Church for many years, and loved his pets, especially his Beagles. In his spare time, he helped with his wife Kathy's business, collected Lladro statues, and antiques. John was also an avid supporter of the Humane Society, due to his love for animals.
