Kenneth E. Stanek

Kenneth E. Stanek, 62, of Caledonia, MI, formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in the Home of Hope, Grand Rapids, MI. Mr. Stanek was born on July 25, 1938, in Cicero, IL, to Edward A. Stanek and the late Audrey (Mansfield) Stanek.

On August 28, 1959, in South Bend, he married the late Anne Louise Murrmann, who preceded him in death on July 20, 1985. Mr. Stanek was employed as a Music Teacher for 37 years, before his retirement from the Caledonia Community School Corporation on July 30, 1997.

Mr. Stanek is survived by five sons; Andrew K. (Susan) Stanek of South Lake, TX, Brian J. (Linda) Stanek of Indianapolis, IN, Christopher E. (Carole) Stanek of Willoughby, OH, Douglas J. (Samantha) Stanek of Pinckney, MI, and Eric C. (Susan) Stanek of Grand Rapids, MI; twelve grandchildren; two sisters, Diane (Glenn) Nashbans of Concord, CA, and Patricia Richard of South Bend, IN; one brother, Michael (Susan) Stanek of Dublin, OH, and many extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife, mother, and a brother; Lynden Charles Stanek.

Mr. Stanek enjoyed spending time with his family and promoting education through music.

Visitation will be from 2-8 PM, Friday, June 15, 2001, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, IN. Funeral Services will be at 3 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2001, in the Kaniewski Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jim Iliff officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
