MISHAWAKA - Judith Ellen Niespodziany, 77, of Mishawaka, passed away during the early evening hours of Monday, April 18th, in the Hospice House of South Bend, with her loving family by her side.

Judy was born in South Bend on December 29, 1938, to the late Melvin Charles and Mary Ellen (Vahl) Taylor. On April 19, 1958, she married the love of her life, Leo Niespodziany, who preceded her in death on May 16, 2008. She was proud of being a member of the John Adams High School class of 1956. She enjoyed taking part in planning their class reunions. Judy was fond of bird watching and spending time with friends, many of whom she graduated with. She was a season ticket holder for Irish Women's Basketball. Her biggest joy came from spending time in the company of her family.

Judy is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Linda) Niespodziany of Elkhart, Stephen (Lia) Niespodziany of South Bend, Lynne (Rex) Rectenwal of South Bend and Paul (Kristen) Niespodziany of Lakeville. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann, and 3 sisters, Patricia, Barbara and Mary Beth.

Judy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She loved all immensely and was loved by all. She will be in our hearts forever.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 21st, from 5:30 until 8:00 PM in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM Friday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of South Bend, with Fr. Dan Ponisciak officiating.
