Aug. 25, 1938 - Feb. 27, 2009

A 39-year resident of Fulton County, Indiana, Jay passed away after an extended illness on February 27, 2009, in the Life Care Center of Rochester, Indiana. He was an industrial engineer at Biomet for many years but his passion was for collecting and selling antiques with a special fondness for primitive furniture, advertising signs and art pottery. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Rochester; the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Lodge #852; and served on the Board of Directors for the Fulton County Historical Society.


He is survived by his loving wife, Dee, whom he married on July 6, 1969, in Buchanan, Michigan. A gentle and caring man, Jay will be missed by his two daughters & sons-in-law; two sons; five grandchildren; and his only sister & brother-in-law, as well as his mother, Maxine N. Yarman Stackhouse. Jay was held in high esteem and with great affection by his many friends. He is pre-deceased by his father, James Hilbert Stackhouse, and a grandson.

A celebration of Jay's life was held in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, IN, on March 1, 2009.
