William Edward Staton

William E. Staton, 42, of 1522 E. Colfax, died at 1:20 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after a four week illness. He was former vice president of the Wells Electronics Co., Inc., of South Bend.
Born on June 25, 1939, in South Bend, and had lived here all his life. His wife, the former Sarah Lightner, survives, along with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Staton of South Bend; two daughters, Beth and Kathy, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. June Biados of Santa Rosa, Calif., Miss Jeanne Staton of Granger and Mrs. Pat Andronico of Gilroy, Calif.; and two brothers, Robert and James, both of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson. Rev. H.C. Kelly Jr., pastor of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, Mishawaka.
