Joanne C. (Struck) Crawford
September 25, 1938 ~ February 3, 2020 (age 81)
Joanne C. Crawford, 81, of Granger passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, IN. She was born September 25, 1938 in South Bend to the late Stanley Edward and Freda Alberta (Paulus) Struck. On April 18, 1964, she married the love of her life, Ronald Crawford, who survives.
Also surviving are her daughter, Rhonda (Mitchell) Owens; two granddaughters, Autumn and Eden Owens; sister, Judith Rutkowski; and brothers, Noel (Janice) Struck and Edward Struck. In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her son, Michael Crawford, and her brother, Franklin Struck.
Joanne was a lifelong resident of the South Bend area. She graduated from John Adams High School in 1957. After finishing high school, Joanne attended Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1960. She was employed as a registered nurse until she and Ronald started their family. Joanne was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and gardening. She loved to go fishing, be outdoors, and spend time with her loving family.
Private family services and entombment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN. Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
