David Gordon Oliver, of Mishawaka, passed into eternal rest in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the age of 78. 

David was born on February 24, 1947, in South Bend, to the late Jack and Lucille (Taylor) Oliver.  He grew up in South Bend, graduating from Adams High School.  Following his high school years, he enlisted into the United States Army.    After proudly serving his country, David started a family and went to work for A.M. General in Mishawaka, where he retired in 2004 after 33 years of service.  In his spare time, he enjoyed watching football, rooting on his favorite teams, the Bears and Colts or watching a good ole movie. 

David is survived by his children, Lori Chwalek of South Bend, and Joe Oliver of Mishawaka.  He is also survived by his sister, Diane Burke of Mishawaka.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Mark Allen Oliver on July 4, 2021.

David’s family is following his wishes to be cremated with no services.
