SOUTH BEND - Deacon William H. Scott III, 62, of Flint, MI, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 at McLaren Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 9, 1947, in South Bend, IN, the son of William and Josephine Scott, Sr. He graduated from John Adams High School and was an exceptional track star.

He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Mary L. Scott of Flint, MI; 4 daughters, Sanita (Otis) Davis of South Bend, Sanedra Scott of Houston, TX, Shalonda Scott of Indianapolis and Shelanna Scott of Grand Blanc, MI; 5 grandchildren; mother, Josephine Scott of South Bend; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family hour 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010 at New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church, 1035 E. Carpenter Rd., Flint, MI., with funeral service commencing at 11 a.m., Bishop Odis A. Floyd officiating. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI.

Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11 a.m. Saturday. Deacon Scott will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., Flint, MI, 48505, and may be viewed from noon - 8 p.m. Friday.
