Robert E. "Woody" Woodward, 74, residing in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Ernestine Raclin House surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in South Bend to Donald Woodward and Linnabelle (Wagner) Woodward, who both preceded him in death along with his brother, Raymond Woodward.

Woody is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Jim) Nielander of Conroe, Texas; his son, Bryon (Donna) Woodward of Mishawaka; his ex-wife Vickie Portolese Woodward; his grandchildren, Derek Frazier, Adam Nielander, Caroline (Chris) Godwin, Caysie (Brad) Shaw, Bryan Woodward, and Britton Woodward; his great-grandchildren, Grace Godwin and Carter Shaw. Also surviving Woody is his sweetheart of fourteen years, Evelyn Bowers, and her children, Tom Bowers (Rhonda),

David (Chris) Bowers, Sheri (Toby) Ottman and Evelyn's grandchildren.

Friends may gather with the family on Friday, January 7, 2022, from Noon – 4 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN 46615. A Funeral Luncheon will immediately follow at the American Legion Post 161, 133 E Mishawaka Ave, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
